Originally from rural England, I'm now based in the city of York, England.

Having a rural upbringing and moving to the city has had a profound effect on my photographic development. My day job as an environmental professional working within the gas transmission industry often requires a careful balance between the needs of people and what is best for the environment. The apparently disparate interests in my life have lead to my photography often identifying the difficult relationship between human development and the natural environment.
