Gabriela is an emerging Mexican artist specializing in digital illustration, currently living in Germany.
Gabriela’s work is greatly inspired by nature and its textures and patterns. Her illustrations often employ the nude figure within landscapes of serenity to depict a narrative of human connection to nature and important questions on sustainability. Her bold fauvist color palette creates a playful representation of intimate moments in which her figures dance, sit or contemplate while the viewer empathetically gazes upon them. Gabriela’s work is responsive to topical conversations around the climate, body and race. Through using vulnerability as a key emotion in her figured-landscapes, Gabriela’s work motivates the continuing conversation on how people relate to one another and to the land we occupy.
