I’m an independent illustrator based in İzmir, Türkiye, working under the name Sadeceart. I create hand-drawn illustrations using acrylic markers and fineliners on paper. My work draws from music, literature, popular culture and everyday life, bringing seemingly unrelated references together to build new visual narratives. I’m interested in reinterpretation—taking familiar songs, characters, stories or cultural symbols and placing them in unexpected contexts. Absurdity and dark humor often become ways of exploring themes such as loneliness, social pressure, fear, change and the contradictions of contemporary life. Each piece begins with a concept and develops through traditional drawing, with storytelling at the center of the process.
