Kat McKee is a self-taught contemporary artist based in Germany. Her figurative portraits explore presence, identity and the inner lives of women, moving between realism and semi-abstraction. Working with acrylic, oil pastel, coloured pencil and mixed media, she creates expressive surfaces through layered marks, texture and bold colour. Her work has been exhibited in Berlin, Zurich, Madrid and Chicago. At the age of eight, she received first prize at the Children’s Art Prize of the City of Hannover. In 2026, her work Question of Perspective sold at a pre-access event for an exhibition supporting the Alzheimer Foundation in The Hague.
