Natasha Simpasa is a South African multidisciplinary visual artist based in Cape Town. Her practice centres on emotion, identity, and the inner landscapes of human experience, expressed across acrylic, charcoal, digital painting, and photography.
Working primarily with portraiture and abstraction, Simpasa constructs intuitive compositions that explore states of vulnerability, transformation, and quiet resilience. Her career includes commissioned work for the National Museum of Art in the Free State through ArtbankSA. She has exhibited across Cape Town, including at The Artist Gallery, and is currently exhibiting at The Fourth. Rooted in personal introspection, her work uses layered mark-making and sensitive tonal contrasts to build spaces where stillness, tension, and strength coexist.
