Sandro Pachuashvili (born in 1995 in Tbilisi, Georgia) is a conceptual artist whose practice spans installation, painting, and research. His work explores the narrative layers of post-Soviet identity, the politics of space, and institutional memory—not as distant themes, but as inherited realities. He appropriates found objects, archival documents, and historically charged architectural sites to create immersive environments that oscillate between irony and mourning, confrontation and care.
Rooted in Georgia’s current political landscape and haunted by echoes of its past, Sandro’s approach reveals the tension between what is preserved in memory and what is erased. Blending poetic gestures with critical inquiry, his works invite a critical perspective and encourage the audience to reflect on systems of power and belonging.
