Sofie Hannibal and Nan Na Hvass are the lovely ladies behind Hvass & Hannibal, a Copenhagen-based art and design studio that has popped up on a lot of blogs lately. The duo were even guest blogging over on It’s Nice That last week! They have oodles of great work but I especially like these colourful illustrations.
Check out the latest batch of 3D-printed sculptures by artist and inventor John Edmark (previously featured here). Based on the same geometrical ratios found in nature, Edmark’s spiralling “Blooms” come to life when spun under a strobe light specifically synchronized to flash at every 137.5º turn. See more images and full video by filmmaker Charlie Nordstrom below!
New work from Allison Torneros aka Hueman (click here for previous posts). A colourful exploration of multiplicity, “Hyperlimbo” involves a series of characters caught between different worlds and ways of being. See more images below or on display at KP Projects in Los Angeles until February 4th!
