Wild Things’ Forts III

More and more and more forts for our Wild Things’ Forts project with Weloveyouso. My favourite email so far comes from Caitlin and Ellie:

where the wild things are forts contest

We transferred half of my living room into a double storey wonder land. We had the jazz blearing and the warm breeze flowing through our tiny window. we had lollies, an elephant tea pot, juice, lots of bubbles, blankets and pillows. We filled it with our favourite things, it was incredible. This photograph does not do it justice, it was simply the most cozy and happy place I’ve been for so long. I was high on life. If we don’t win, we don’t even mind, because this competition inspired us to have the most fun we’ve had since we actually were 5. Thankyou for the best day! It was heart breaking having to take it down.

  • Alexandria your fort is so cool!

  • We decided to build a fort every weekend!!!!

So inspirational, I remember as a kid thinking I was a smurf and turning our bedroom into a mushroom houses/village.

This was so much fun and too painful to take down, but now that we will do it every week, no problem!!!!

Much love and keep these fun projects comin’

  • Loving the geek one with the boys, the bubble wrap and the X box! So cute! It’s really about gathering the things that make you most happy in life, just like the girls in the first picture said.

Thanks for posting these colorful variations of forts and places of coziness!

Collection of 80 High-Res Textless Movie Posters

Not sure how this exists??? Someone has uploaded a collection of 80 high-resolution film posters stripped of any text. Can’t tell if they have next-level Photoshop skills or some other kind of voodoo that made this possible. In any case, thank you, Internet. Have a look at them all here. I included a bunch of my favourites below (there’s a common thread to the ones I picked).

*Edit – just discovered that the link I posted was actually a repost and this was originally posted by Reddit user Join_You_In_The_Sun, so I’ve updated the link in the post.

Watch: “The Junction: A-Trak & Nick Catchdubs”

Here’s episode #3 of our animated series for Red Bull Music Academy, and it’s a peek into the pop culture-filled minds of Fool’s Gold co-founders A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs. Hopefully you’ll find it to be an enjoyable mix of the absurd and the profound (would love to see these two start their own podcast).

The visuals here are a collaborative effort from animator Brandon Blommaert and illustrator Josh Holinaty. The sound design and original music were created by Luigi Allemano.

Make sure you hit full screen on the episode above or watch it nice and big over on Booooooom TV.

Stay tuned for the rest of the episodes! If you missed the first two, watch Episode #1: Chilly Gonzales and Peaches, and watch Episode #2: Kaytranada and River Tiber.
