  • THat exhibition looks stunning. Absolutely waste-my-day sitting marvelling stunning.

  • Looks amazing! Is that any chance that this exhibition comes to Brazil? I don´t think so.

I am a local (OC-CA) artist and photographer. I am leaving a post in hopes of learning how I can possibly get my work into this gallery. I have work which is not yet on my web site which is just waiting to be shown.
While most of my work is commercial photography, I have this abstract art part of me just waiting to get out.

Thanks for your response in advance.

    • this website has nothing to do with the Richard Heller gallery so you might want to try contacting them. based on the work in your portfolio and the work they curate i’m not sure it’s the best fit.

  • this looks like it took tons of time.

Artist Makes Street Repairs Using Gold

Brooklyn-based artist Rachel Sussman adapts the Japanese art of Kintsugi (golden joinery) or Kintsukuroi (golden repair) in her ongoing series “Sidewalk Kintsukuroi.” Traditionally used to fix broken pottery, gold or silver is used to embellish the repair as it is seen as part of the object’s history rather than something to hide.

In Sussman’s case, filling cracks in the pavement pays similar homage to the changes that have taken place in the world around us. See more images from the project below or on display at the Des Moines Art Center until May 5th.
