That’s my vote
My vote is definitely the monkey from “Outbreak.” Really, that monkey just gave me an excuse to skip class in college. “‘Why didn’t you attend color theory?’ ‘Erm… bitten by a monkey and contracted the “Deadly Motabo Virus.™”‘” Also, “Deadly Motabo Virus”™ just kind of rolls off the tongue. Say it once and you’re hooked.
Excuse me, I upon further research it’s “Deadly Motaba Virus™.”

The monkey from South Park’s “hooked on Monkey Phonics”
(Hopefully Seattle counts as drive-able. I’ve never been to Vancouver)
going with the evil family guy monkey for now.
Considering how much I fear monkeys in real life, I have a strangely long list of favourites in the media:
Books – The Librarian in the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett, my favourite novels of all time.
Movies – King Louis in the original “The Jungle Book” mostly because he was voiced by Louis Armstrong.
TV – The evil monkey in “Family Guy”
Reality – The “Evil Pinhead Monkey with cock out” That my boyfriends threatens me with when I misbehave. I would post an image of him but it is so NSFW. However, if I win, I will post it for sure. (Shameless bribery, I know, but it says nothing about it not being permitted in the rules.)
My favourite monkey is Ross’s monkey in Friends.
Gordo, the first monkey in space
Michael Jacksons pet Chimp named Bubbles. Although he is not from a movie or t.v show someone should really make a movie about bubbles. Michael Jackson treated bubbles like a person, he slept in a crib in Michaels room, ate candy and even used the same toilet as Michael. During the Bad world tour bubbles traveled with Michael and Michael even bringing bubbles to tea with a Japanese mayor.
“Steve” the monkey from the animated movie “Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs”… mostly because his character is played by Neil Patrick Harris aka DOOGIE HOWSER!!
http://www.imdb.com/media/rm4102260992/tt0844471
Lil Wayne
evil monkey from family guy
Might Joe Young! I cried when he fell off the ferris wheel and everyone thought he was dead
Monkey from Killer Monkey – its a classic
The monkeys from Citizen Kane.
That monkey that’s always on my back!
Or the monkey wrench.
the flying monkeys from the wizard of oz (in the Judy Garland version) !
the evil closet monkey – Family Guy
My favourite is Guenter the genius monkey from the “Mars University” episode of Futurama. I felt so bad for him when he learned the truth about his “uncivilized” parents, poor little guy. Even after all of the banana jokes and teasing he still went out of his way to risk his life to save Fry. At least it all resulted in him being happier in the end.
this one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVE60zwXx1k
BJ and the Bear. TV show from the late 70 early 80. The Chimp name bear was great.
Johnny CHIMPO…. super trooper extravaganza
when derek zoolander dresses up as the monkey with the vest/hat/cymbals for that photoshoot and they’re throwing bananas at him.
awesome.
Curious George
Diddy Kong
I like Wallace, the little monkey from Tarsem Singh’s “The Fall”, who’s sort of the sidekick of a fictionalized version of Charles Darwin. SPOILER ALERT if you continue reading…
Wallace is likely named after Alfred Russel Wallace, who, like Darwin, was a British naturalist. The real life Darwin and Wallace corresponded and discussed their theories; Wallace actually independently proposed a theory of evolution due to natural selection, apparently prompting Darwin to develop his own theory which he published in On The Origin of Species, the book that made him a household name. In The Fall’s surreal storybook world, Charles Darwin is a naturalist searching for a rare butterfly with the small monkey Wallace as his “colleague”. Wallace stays inside a bag for most of the movie, occasionally whispering things to Darwin to help him out, dictating ideas to him that he writes down in a notebook. (This parallels the relation some feel that the real life Darwin and Wallace shared; that Darwin received all the credit despite Wallace’s help.) Despite playing second fiddle in the team, Wallace eventually sees the rare butterfly they’ve been searching for and, braving imminent danger, attempts to capture it. Wallace is shot in the process and, as he lays dying in Darwin’s hands, Darwin tells him “I’ll tell everyone they were your ideas.”
Wallace the monkey was like a kind of tribute to the real Wallace, it’s not even made obvious in the movie, Wallace just seems almost like the “brains of the operation” in his team with Darwin, as well as being a brave lil ape.
My favourite monkey is definitely the short lived fighting monkey “Furious George” from the Simpsons. The idea of two monkeys duking it out in a knife fight is too good.
hahah there are some amazing answers in here, and some monkeys i would have never thought of – the only fair thing to do was make it completely random (random.org generated a number)
The winner of the Gorillaz tickets is…
Richard Weald
Congratulations Richard!
THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW OVER, stay tuned there’s another one coming!
