I find these very interesting. The first one is indeed beautiful
I stumbled across Betsy’s work on Flickr some time ago, gorgeous work
Even without seeing the figures, you can tell this has Japanese influence with the colours as well as the plants. The theme almost grows throughout each piece. The first painting is quite different but you can see elements of the theme begingin to grow. My favourite is the third painting for the composition and the different scales used, it gives the painting depth. The more you look at it, you notice that the colours are mostly grouped, so there is an area of greens, pinks and blues but they all overlap.
