Mike Winkelmann Has Created a New Artwork Every Day for 3,416 Consecutive Days (Nearly 10 Years)

Artist Mike Winkelmann, perhaps better known as Beeple, has been making a piece of art every day (from start to finish) for the past 3,416 days! That’s nearly ten years of consecutive days spent being creative! His motion work has garnered him a slew of Vimeo Staff picks, and artists like Flying Lotus, Skrillex, Amon Tobin, and many others have used his live visuals in their shows. I’ve seen so much of his work floating around the net but had no idea it was all being created by one guy.

Have a look below at a bunch more of his “Everydays” as he calls them, and then do yourself a favour and check out his videos on Vimeo.

Watch: “The Junction: A-Trak & Nick Catchdubs”

Here’s episode #3 of our animated series for Red Bull Music Academy, and it’s a peek into the pop culture-filled minds of Fool’s Gold co-founders A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs. Hopefully you’ll find it to be an enjoyable mix of the absurd and the profound (would love to see these two start their own podcast).

The visuals here are a collaborative effort from animator Brandon Blommaert and illustrator Josh Holinaty. The sound design and original music were created by Luigi Allemano.

Make sure you hit full screen on the episode above or watch it nice and big over on Booooooom TV.

Stay tuned for the rest of the episodes! If you missed the first two, watch Episode #1: Chilly Gonzales and Peaches, and watch Episode #2: Kaytranada and River Tiber.
