Envelopes continue to show up for our Small Victories project and I am more and more amazed at the work being submitted. It is going to be a fun show! You have two more weeks to submit!
I am excited to finally announce our tenth project, Small Victories!
Small Victories is a photographic celebration of the everyday! A collection of 4×6 prints of the quietly beautiful, unintentionally funny, people and things all around us. I believe it is these little moments that make life worth living.
This project will culminate in a photo show at Above Second gallery in Hong Kong, in May.
Grand Prize Winner: Congratulations to Eric Rice, you have won the “Where The Wild Things Are” Xbox and a bus shelter-size poster! Your fort was just ridiculous! It had a freakin’ third floor!!!
“I spent the long weekend building my fort out old pallets and other discarded materials. I didn’t use any nails or screws to build the actual fort, it’s lashed together with hundreds of feet of string, and is surprisingly sturdy, even on the third floor. I had an awesome time building it, and hope you guys do some more contests in the future.” – Eric

This is the final batch of forts of our Wild Things’ Forts project with Weloveyouso. We will announce the winner shortly. I have no idea how we’re going to pick! I thoroughly enjoyed going through all the submissions, and I tried to post every single fort that arrived in my inbox! You are all magnificent, thank you for making this such a fun site to work on. Forts Forever!!!
Here’s an email from Steph Grant (sent with this photo):
Cops got called last night… the cops laughed, took pictures with us and we served them pumpkin pie. they said they hadn’t seen anything like this and we explained why we were doing it. It was great… we are going to do this more often, next time… hammocks IN the fort! Thanks!!
