First of all, thank you to all of you who purchased artwork and/or donated directly to Haiti! This is last week of our art fundraiser, and we’ve just added some new work by Ben Tour, Justin Nelson, David Jien, and others.
Take a look at all of the work here: HELP HAITI
And once again, if you’re not interested in purchasing any of the artwork but you’d like to make a donation to Haiti, Google has made it very easy! http://www.google.com/relief/haitiearthquake/
I’m sure you’re all aware that Haiti needs help right now, so here’s a chance to lend a hand and get some amazing artwork in the process!
All of the artwork displayed here is listed with the agreement that the artists will donate all of the proceeds from each sale to Haiti.

Kenichi Hoshine just sent me this:
“I recently read about how Jason Noble was diagnosed with cancer and is receiving treatment. Jason is a musician and has been involved in bands such as Rodan, Shipping News and Rachel’s and is a pivotal figure in the Louisville, KY music scene. I don’t know him personally, but his work has greatly influenced me in the past. I wanted to auction off one of my original paintings on ebay with 100% of the proceeds going to Jason and his medical costs.”
This is the painting Kenichi is auctioning off, with an opening bid of $0.01 (and no reserve!). The auction closes in a week. If you’d like to help Jason Noble, place a bid here.
The Art & Sole silent auction is now online! I was one of 30+ artists who took part in the show, customizing a pair of PF Flyers. We are now auctioning off the work as a way of raising a bit of money for Arts Umbrella, a fantastic program here in Vancouver that provides arts education for kids regardless of financial situation. If you pop over to the site and place a bid on a shoe or purchase the book, you are supporting some great artists and more importantly supporting a vital arts program!
This piece above was done by my friend Danny Vermette.
If anyone bids on my shoes 25% goes directly to Arts Umbrella, and I will also donate my artist share (66%) to them as well.
Students at Ravensbourne College of Design in London have come up with an ingenious way to raise funds for their grad show, a project called Blank Canvas! Packages containing objects purchased in thrift shops were sent out to many of the students’ favourite designers and illustrators to act as blank canvases. The objects were customized by the recipients and sent back, and now the students are having an auction of the work on April 30th at the Vibe Bar on Brick Lane.
Not that impressed? Let me just rattle off a few of the 50+ artists/designers involved: Milton Glaser! Hellovon! Non-Format! Parra! Job Wouters! Andy J Miller! Julien Vallee! Alex Ostrowski! Stina Persson!
Head over to the Blank Canvas page to get on the guestlist if you want to attend the auction!
