Tom Williams, a designer in London, happened to catch a couple city workers painting text onto a road and the footage is so satisfying to watch. I have so many questions! This week the @Booooooom Instagram is being handed over to Sydney-based typographer Gemma O’Brien. Normally I’d put the person’s name over top of the intro image with a font but it would be an injustice to do so here as the beauty of Gemma’s work is that it is hand-lettered.
She recently had a brilliant solo show which featured her illustrations on barf bags called “You Make Me Sick”. Her job this week is to have fun and inspire you and I’m sure she will do lots of both. Please give her a warm welcome.
