Animator Jim Le Fevre, whom I posted about way back in 2008 (See here: “Phonographantasmascope”), teamed up with Roops and Al Johnstone to make a fantastic phonotrope animation for the Crafts Council.
Roops and Al Johnstone make earthenware under the name RAMP, which stands for Roop and Al Make Pots. I can only imagine how anxious they must have been waiting for this thing to fire in the kiln, hoping nothing went wrong after all their hard work.
This collection brings together work from 60+ artists and is also our biggest volume yet: 276 pages, and for the first time, in a larger format.
