While it hasn’t been officially confirmed by Netflix or Channel 4 (the UK station that originally aired the show), new episodes of Black Mirror are in the works! According to RadioTimes, series creator, Charlie Brooker, is currently writing scripts for a third series! And Netflix (which owns the rights to the back catalogue) is said to be in advanced negotiations to produce it!
If you’re not familiar with the show, Black Mirror is basically a subtle, pseudo-sci-fi drama. Each episode feels like a mini-movie with its own stand-alone story and distinct, not-so-distant futuristic/dystopian setting. However, all 7 episodes (3 episodes over 2 seasons/series, plus a Christmas special) revolve around the same cautionary theme of the dark side of human nature and our relationship to technology.
