“York Boulevard” by Artist Hugo Rocci

A colourful collection of drawings by artist Hugo Rocci, inspired by his time living in Highland Park — a neighbourhood in Los Angeles filled with a colourful mix of people and signs. They were all created without the use of a computer but, rather, using different types of ink. As Rocci explains:

“I did this because it makes the process more interesting with space for the mistakes of the screen-print fit. Conceptually it resonates with the rough and sometimes absurd hand painted signs and logos that I saw on York Boulevard myself.”
