A round-up of our favourite videos featured on Booooooom TV. From dance to animation, this week’s selection includes a variety of beautiful experimentations in storytelling.
“E_GO” by Alimzhan Alan Sabir & Eric Cheung
Stunning work by director/cinematographer Alimzhan Alan Sabir and dancer/choreographer Eric Cheung. Drawing directly from Eric’s personal experiences and struggles to find himself, “E_GO” explores the dualistic nature of the mind and the shaping of identity.
A poetic short by Detroit-based director Keenan Wetzel, “Yellowtail” tells the story of a young Native American cowboy (Stephen Yellowtail) searching for purpose amidst a chaotic lifestyle.
Brooklyn-based director Connor Hurley’s cut of El Perro Del Mar’s track “Mirrors” beautifully explores themes of empathy and self-compassion through three generations of women.
A lovely mix of CG and traditional hand-drawn animation for Mitski by New York City-based studio Art Camp and directors/designers Saad Moosajee and Danae Gosset.
These are just some of the wonderful submissions we’ve featured on Booooooom TV in the past week. If you have films/videos you’d like to submit, head over here.
