A selection of images from “Alone With Everyone Else” by Nashville, Tennessee-based photographer Gabe McCurdy. Taken over the past year in Nashville, the series explores the feelings of loneliness sometimes felt while living in a bustling city.

“I’ve found photography to be an effective antidote to my introversion when I allow my desire to photograph people to override my innate desire for solitude. The result is a feeling of connection and gratitude, often to complete strangers, that I would never have otherwise. The experience of making the images is as important to me as the actual photographs that document them. It brings me out of myself and into the lives of others.”
