Paintings by Mexican American artist Omar Rodriguez-Graham. After graduating from Drew University in New Jersey, Rodriguez-Graham received his MFA from the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. Now based in Mexico City, his work is part of an ongoing search for painting’s inherent language. While beginning with recognizable images, Rodriguez-Graham brings these markings together to construct an amalgamation or translation into something new — a reality that exists somewhere between the recognizable and the abstract.
