Berlin, Germany-based photographer Louis De Belle documents Italy’s World Fair for Church Supplies, Liturgical and Ecclesiastical Art in his series “Besides Faith”. Where representatives of the clergy coalesce every two years to purchase religious paraphernalia, the fair is part of Italy’s $5.2 billion religious goods market. De Belle describes the work as “a series focusing on the grey area between sacred and profane, through unusual juxtapositions and flashy insights into this one-of-a-kind trade show”.
