Born and raised on the border of rural Ontario and Québec, Canada, photographer Josée Schryer now resides in Montreal. “‘Sur-la-Rouge’ is tainted with family drama, souvenirs, broken relations and, most of all, apprehensions of reconnecting with hurtful memories that became irrevocably tied to the landscape.”
