British-Canadian photographer Lorena Lohr has spent nearly a decade capturing the quirk and charm of the American Southwest with 35mm color film and a variety of inexpensive cameras. Based between the U.S. and Europe, Lohr travels the Southwestern U.S. by bus and train, finding beauty in the subtle moments and compositions that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Many of Lohr’s images have been published as photobooks, the most recent being “Bar Room Paintings” (2019), “Texas Blue” (2018), and “Blue Springs” (2018). “Tonight Lounge”, a comprehensive monograph of Lohr’s work in America over the last ten years, has just been published by Cob Gallery, London.
