Emily Barresi is an Oakland, California-based photographer. Her introspective photographs mirror her evolving relationship to home, family, and mortality. “I’m interested in exploring the mutations and developments of self through what we long for”, she explains. Often using the elasticity of childhood memory as a jumping-off point, these images were made over the course of the last three years as part of an ongoing body of work.
