Artist Spotlight: Cameron Platter

A selection of vibrant drawings by artist Cameron Platter from KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. Whether working abstractly or referencing contemporary iconography from popular culture directly, Platter’s artistic practice is both playful and investigative. Documenting the more sinister or serious aspects of our age — colonialism, conspiracy, moral degradation, existentialism, human suffering — through a collage of more palatable aesthetic maneuvers, Platter’s work invites tensions, questions, and contradictions to coexist.
