Photographer Spotlight: Milly Cope

A selection of images by London-based self-taught photographer and artist Milly Cope. Working with analogue equipment, Cope’s practice revolves around capturing what she describes as “the honest truth of individuals.” She endeavors to expose the mind and body in their natural, un-retouched states, presenting “the vulnerability of human reality without sugar coating or hyper-romanticizing.” Her photographs celebrate the beauty of human existence, portraying her subjects through lenses of “shamelessness and power,” and exposing both the strength and fragility of the human experience.
