“Five Dresses” by Artist Caitlyn Murphy

A lovely collection of paintings by Toronto-based artist Caitlyn Murphy (previously featured here). Inspired by the dropping off and picking up of the same dresses to various dry cleaners throughout the city, “Five Dresses” offers a catalogue of passing details and ephemera such as hand written slips, plastic garment bags, office supplies, and winding tracks of waiting clothes. Each piece is the result of a chance encounter and gracious interaction with store owners/employees.
