Photographer Spotlight: Kyle Jeffers

A selection of images by Toronto-based photographer Kyle Jeffers. Though he got his start shooting primarily architecture and landscapes, Jeffers’ practice has evolved to focus on still life and fashion. He shoots around the industrial landscapes near his home in Toronto, using the locations as backdrops to his sculptural images. “I found myself very interested in these areas since they were hidden, low traffic and often unique in comparison to the suburban jungle that is Ontario,” he explains. Drawn to bold, punchy colors and harsh afternoon sunlight, Jeffers transcends the banality of daily life and common objects with his eye-catching, humorous photographs.
