“RAY: Moroccan Light” by Photographer Laura McCluskey

London-based photographer Laura McCLuskey’s “RAY: Moroccan Light” (Guest Editions, 2020) was shot in January 2020 during long days walking along Morocco’s west coast, between Essaouia and Sidi Kaouki. With an eye for light, texture and color, McCluskey’s sun-drenched images offer a visceral portrait of place through its details. Focusing on found objects and their cast shows, and people and the impressions they leave behind, the series explores what she describes as “the often fragile line between the man-made world and the natural.”
