Photographer Spotlight: Li Hui

Originally from Hangzhou, China, visual artist Li Hui (previously featured here) began taking pictures as a hobby. She now works mostly in Shanghai, making ethereal, intimate portraits and still lifes of the human body and natural world. “I’ve always been attracted to unusual aspects,” she explains, “observing and maintaining this awe of human nature and complexity from visible but easily overlooked intimate details, the subconscious, the enigmatic vision and other such topics.”
