Michal Solarski is a Polish photographer based in London, UK. With his series, “Rest Behind the Curtain,” Solarski explores the habits and rituals of the vacation culture of the former Eastern Bloc. Invoking his own childhood memories, he travels to places where “time has stopped,” in search of stillness and monotony. He elaborates: “From here and now I try to dig into the past to create the images conceived by nostalgia, experiences and memories of someone who was born and raised behind the Iron Curtain.”
