Born and currently based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, artist Marcelo Canevari got his start at the age of sixteen working as an assistant to his father, a scientific illustrator, where he learned to represent plants and animals with scientific accuracy. Since 2017, he has explored a personal art practice, creating open-ended paintings that flirt with ideas of mystery and the uncanny, leaving interpretations up to the viewer.
