A selection of recent paintings by artist Rune Christensen. Currently living in a repurposed state prison in Horsens, Denmark, Christensen seeks to leave the mundane behind through his creative practice. Using symbolism, myth, and memory, his paintings transport us to an entirely new world. The patterns, images, and color palettes in his works are fragments reminiscent of his global travels, taking the viewer on “a dream-like journey through space and time.”
