Artist Spotlight: Eddie Perrote

A selection of recent work by Brooklyn, New York-based artist Eddie Perrote. With a background in illustration and graphic design, Perrote uses graphic figurative representation, text, and abstraction to explore personal narrative in his work. His sense of color is heavily influenced by his experience with printmaking and spray paint, and he draws inspiration from various sources, explaining: “I love textiles, tapestries, patterns, hand painted signage and ephemeral graphics, byzantine paintings, gothic architecture, photography books, and libraries.” His numerous skills and diverse interests are reflected throughout his practice, coming together to form a vibrant and cohesive body of personal work.
