“Eastsiders” by Photographer Gregory Bojorquez

In the early to mid 90’s, photographer Gregory Bojorquez was working at a camera shop in Pasadena and spending his free time hanging out with friends around his hometown, the Eastside of Los Angeles. He started taking film and creative writing classes at the City College, which inspired him to begin photographing his daily life. The resulting series is an iconic portrait of a particular time and place, viewed through the intimate lens of an insider. Since then, “Eastsiders” has been featured in group and solo shows both nationally and internationally, and was recently published as a photobook by Little Big Man Books.
