Artist Spotlight: Max Seckel

A selection of recent paintings by artist Max Seckel (previously featured here). Reflecting his last eight years spent living in New Orleans, Seckel’s work brings together a combination of things he has observed or experienced in the world, and moments that he has built up in his imagination. “For the most part the depicted spaces do not fully exist in the real world,” he explains, “but the paintings do frequently reference actual places, living almost halfway between memory and imagination.”
