A captivating series of night-inspired paintings by artist Christopher Burk (previously featured here). Based in Columbus, Ohio, Burk is interested in the unique ability of night to transform the natural world. The artwork which feature trees illuminated by the moon and other unseen light sources, capturing an otherworldly version of nature. In the absence of the sun’s light, new visions of bark, leaf, and branch are revealed, lending an uncanny quality to where reality and imagination merge.
