Awards Rules, Terms & Conditions

The award-specific terms below apply to the relevant 2026 Booooooom awards program. The General Terms apply to both awards programs.

2026 Illustration Awards Terms

Rules of Entry

• The 2026 Booooooom Illustration Awards are open to illustrators and artists worldwide working in traditional or digital media.
• The award categories are Personal, Editorial, Product & Merchandise, Advertising & Promotional, and Student.
• In your project description, state whether the work was commissioned or non-commissioned. The Editorial category is for commissioned work only. The Personal and Student categories are for non-commissioned work only. Include art director credit where appropriate.
• Each person may submit one image to one category for free. Additional free submissions will be deleted.
• Illustration Awards Pass holders may submit unlimited work across all categories while the Illustration Awards are open, subject to the limits of each submission form. The Illustration Awards Pass is a one-time purchase and does not renew automatically.
• No payment or Pass is required to enter or to be eligible for a prize.
• Each Illustration Awards Pass may only be used by one person and cannot be shared or transferred. All work submitted using the Pass must be that person’s own work.

Prizes

• Each category winner will receive one True Grit Texture Supply Everything Bundle, in addition to the cash prize described in the General Terms.
• Each category winner will receive a 24-month, single-device Clip Studio Paint EX activation code. A total of 220 people selected for the longlist and shortlist will receive a 6-month, single-device Clip Studio Paint PRO activation code.
• The BenQ monitor assigned to each category is:
  • Personal: PD2730S
  • Editorial: PD2732U
  • Product & Merchandise: PD2732U
  • Advertising & Promotional: PD2732U
  • Student: PD3226G
• BenQ prizes cannot be shipped to Canada, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Turkey, Central Asian countries (including Kazakhstan), the Philippines, Vietnam, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, any African country, or Middle Eastern countries other than the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. If a winner is in one of these locations, Booooooom Design Inc. will make reasonable efforts to arrange delivery. If delivery cannot be arranged, the winner will receive an additional $200 USD cash prize instead of the BenQ prize. An invoice is required for the additional cash prize.

Submission Dates

• Submissions open September 30, 2026, and close at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on November 12, 2026. Booooooom Design Inc. reserves the right to extend the deadline by up to 30 days. Any extension will be announced on the Illustration Awards page.

Rights and Permissions

• Entrants retain the rights to their submitted work and confirm that they have the rights needed to submit it.
• If your work is selected for the longlist, shortlist, or as a category winner, you grant Booooooom Design Inc. and its awards partners permission to display, reproduce, edit for presentation, publish, and promote the selected work in connection with the 2026 Illustration Awards and future Illustration Awards. Credit will be provided where practicable.

Newsletter Subscription

• By submitting to the Illustration Awards, you agree to be subscribed to the Booooooom newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

2026 Photo Awards Terms

Rules of Entry

• The 2026 Booooooom Photo Awards are open to photographers worldwide.
• The award categories are Portrait, Nature, Street, Student, and Series.
• The Series category is for a related body of photographic work and is available through a paid category submission or a Photo Awards Pass only. There is no free entry option for the Series category.
• Each person may submit one image to one of the following categories for free: Portrait, Nature, Street, or Student. Additional free submissions will be deleted.
• Photo Awards Pass holders may submit unlimited work across all categories while the Photo Awards are open, subject to the limits of each submission form. The Photo Awards Pass is a one-time purchase and does not renew automatically.
• No payment or Pass is required to enter Portrait, Nature, Street, or Student, or to be eligible for prizes through those categories. Entry to Series requires a paid category submission or a Photo Awards Pass.
• Each Photo Awards Pass may only be used by one person and cannot be shared or transferred. All work submitted using the Pass must be that person’s own work.
• Category winners and shortlisted photographers will be selected on the merit of their submitted work.

Prizes

• The five category winners will receive a total of $5,000 USD in cash prizes, as described in the General Terms.
• Each category winner will also receive one WANDRD bag, assigned as follows:
  • Portrait: PRVKE 21L, in the winner’s choice of style and color.
  • Nature: ROGUE, in the winner’s choice of available size and style.
  • Street: ROGUE, in the winner’s choice of available size and style.
  • Student: ROGUE, in the winner’s choice of available size and style.
  • Series: PRVKE 21L, in the winner’s choice of style and color.
• Three shortlisted photographers will each receive one Manfrotto ONE Aluminum Tripod with XPRO Ball Head (MKONEPA-BHQ6T). Recipients will be selected by Booooooom Design Inc. based on the merit of their submitted work. A total of three tripods will be awarded, with a maximum of one tripod per person.
• WANDRD size and style choices are subject to availability at the time prizes are fulfilled.
• Recipients of physical prizes are responsible for any import duties, taxes, customs clearance charges, or brokerage fees that may be payable upon delivery.

Submission Dates

• Submissions open November 3, 2026, and close at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on December 9, 2026. Booooooom Design Inc. reserves the right to extend the deadline by up to 30 days. Any extension will be announced on the Photo Awards page.

Rights and Permissions

• Entrants retain the rights to their submitted work and confirm that they have the rights and permissions needed to submit it and permit its use as described in these terms.
• If your work is selected for the longlist, shortlist, or as a category winner, you grant Booooooom Design Inc. and its awards partners non-exclusive permission to display, reproduce, edit for presentation, publish, and promote the selected work in connection with the 2026 Photo Awards and future Photo Awards. Credit will be provided where practicable.

Entrant Communications and Newsletter Subscription

• Booooooom Design Inc. may contact entrants regarding their submissions, awards results, and prize administration. Newsletter subscription is optional and requires a separate opt-in. Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

General Terms Applicable to Both Awards

Eligibility and Submissions

• Works created in 2025 or 2026 are eligible.
• Works created using generative AI are not eligible.
• The Student category in each awards program is open to people who were enrolled in a school when the submitted work was created.
• A paid category submission may include up to 10 images in one category. The applicable fee is shown on the submission form.

Winners, Prizes, and Notification

• Each category in each awards program will have one winner.
• Each category winner will receive a $1,000 USD cash prize. Winners must provide Booooooom Design Inc. with an invoice to receive payment.
• Selected applicants will be contacted within 65 days of the final submission deadline for the relevant awards program.
• Prize recipients are responsible for any taxes that may apply to their prizes.

Use of Submitted Work

• Booooooom Design Inc. will seek the rights holder’s permission before using submitted work for purposes unrelated to the awards.

Liability and Additional Terms

• Booooooom Design Inc. and its officers, agents, partners, directors, and employees are not responsible for claims arising from an entrant’s lack of rights to submitted work. To the extent permitted by law, they are not liable for losses arising from participation in the awards.
