Rules of Entry

• The 2026 Booooooom Illustration Awards are open to illustrators and artists worldwide working in traditional or digital media.
• Works created in 2025 or 2026 are eligible.
• Works created using generative AI are not eligible.
• The award categories are Personal, Editorial, Product & Merchandise, Advertising & Promotional, and Student.
• State in your project description whether the work was commissioned or uncommissioned. Uncommissioned work may be entered in any category except Editorial. Include art director credit where appropriate.
• The Student category is open to people who were enrolled in a school when the submitted work was created.
• Each person may submit one image to one category for free. Additional free submissions will be deleted.
• A paid individual submission may include up to 10 images in one category. The applicable fee is shown on the submission form.
• Illustration Awards Pass holders may submit unlimited work across all categories while the awards are open, subject to the limits of each submission form. The Pass is a one-time purchase and does not renew automatically.
• No payment or Pass is required to enter or to be eligible for a prize. Each category will have one winner.
• Each Illustration Awards Pass may only be used by one person and cannot be shared or transferred. All work submitted using the Pass must be that person’s own work.

Prizes

• Each category winner will receive a $1,000 USD cash prize. Winners must provide Booooooom Design Inc. with an invoice to receive payment.
• Each category winner will receive one True Grit Texture Supply Everything Bundle.
• Each category winner will receive a 24-month, single-device Clip Studio Paint EX activation code. A total of 220 people selected for the longlist, and shortlist, will receive a 6-month, single-device Clip Studio Paint PRO activation code.
• The BenQ monitor assigned to each category is:

  • Advertising & Promotional: PD2732U
  • Student: PD3226G
• BenQ prizes cannot be shipped to Canada, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Turkey, Central Asian countries (including Kazakhstan), the Philippines, Vietnam, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, any African country, or Middle Eastern countries other than the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. If a winner is in one of these locations, Booooooom Design Inc. will make reasonable efforts to arrange delivery. If delivery cannot be arranged, the winner will receive an additional $200 USD cash prize instead of the BenQ prize. An invoice is required for the additional cash prize.

Terms and Conditions

• Submissions open September 30, 2026, and close at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on November 12, 2026. Booooooom Design Inc. reserves the right to extend the deadline by up to 30 days. Any extension will be announced on the awards page.
• Selected applicants will be contacted within 65 days of the final submission deadline.
• Prize recipients are responsible for any taxes that may apply to their prizes.
• Entrants retain the rights to their submitted work and confirm that they have the rights needed to submit it.
• If your work is selected for the longlist, shortlist, or as a category winner, you grant Booooooom Design Inc. and its awards partners permission to display, reproduce, edit for presentation, publish, and promote the selected work in connection with the 2026 Illustration Awards and future Illustration Awards. Credit will be provided where practicable.
• Booooooom Design Inc. will seek the rights holder’s permission before using submitted work for purposes unrelated to the awards.
• By submitting to the awards, you agree to be subscribed to the Booooooom newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.
• Booooooom Design Inc. and its officers, agents, partners, directors, and employees are not responsible for claims arising from an entrant’s lack of rights to submitted work. To the extent permitted by law, they are not liable for losses arising from participation in the awards.
