The series 100 Woman and More features 100 portraits of women throughout history, from the 1500 B.C.E. to today, who have greatly influenced their time and field. Each woman is showcased on a 5” x 7” wooden oval and each is accompanied by an identifying card containing the featured woman’s name, birth and death (if applicable) dates, and a short bio. This series was almost five years in the making. In 2012, after the artist experienced gender discrimination in the workplace she felt helpless and powerless to change her circumstance. Researching this series and creating these portraits helped to bring value to her experience. By highlighting these 100 amazing women, she is reclaiming her voice. The series never features the same 100 women twice.
