My mother escaped the Vietcong in 1975 with nothing but her family and her traditions. After living for a short time in the jungle, she swam out to a US Navy vessel that resettled her in NYC. She chose to raise her daughters in a traditional Vietnamese household, including the celebration of Lunar New Year. I am passing along those traditions to my daughter and others and their families through textile art. Please visit us online: comfydumpling.com
