A Dog Dreams of Bread is a series of acrylic paintings that express the liminal space between logistical reality and the dream realm. The title comes from the latin proverb, ‘Canis panem somniat, piscator pisces.’ This translates to, ‘a dog dreams of bread, a fisherman of fish.’ Symbols in dreams are only intended for the dreamer, and as such, will only make sense to the dreamer. The same can be true for past events. We remember what we want from time and space, often focusing on moments that are eventful or have energetic feelings attached. The paintings in this collection represent the waking life and dream world to the point where it is hard to distinguish which is which.
The exhibition runs from February 6, 2026 until March 29, 2026.
