"A House is Not a Home" is an ongoing series of self-portraits exploring feelings of isolation when returning to my hometown in suburban Ohio. These portraits question notions of femininity and evoke the antiquated concept of "female hysteria", a diagnosis historically given to women who struggled to align themselves with social conventions.
