Julia Maltha began making collages long before studying communication design, discovering the medium early on as a way to express what she couldn’t put into words. With over fifteen years of working with found images, she uses collage to explore her inner world and make sense of thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Her intuitive process brings together fragments, contrasts, and unexpected connections, often revealing meanings she only understands once a work is finished. Her collages raise questions rather than provide answers, leaving room for viewers to find their own connections and discover something of themselves in her work.
