A vigília do fogo brings together ceramic sculptures by Iago Gouvêa and paintings by Paulo Agi at 25M, São Paulo. Hybrid animal bodies and images of Pantanal fauna connect the two practices through questions of coexistence, environmental degradation and the limits of human control. Fire transforms clay and evokes the threats faced by the landscapes in the paintings.
Curated by João Paulo Quintella and Yago Toscano.
