Acts of Attention

Acts of Attention is an ongoing photographic series centred on the act of looking, using overlooked objects, surfaces and everyday encounters as a way of considering how sustained attention can alter our relationship with the environments we inhabit. By slowing down and noticing what might otherwise pass unseen, the work asks what reveals itself within familiar surroundings, and in turn what these encounters might reveal about ourselves. Through framing, colour, light and association, ordinary things begin to shift in meaning. In a visually saturated culture, these acts of attention become a quiet form of resistance. A selection of works from the series made their public debut at Saatchi Gallery, London, in 2026.
