LEE YIP (b. 1982, England) is a mixed–race artist (English–Chinese) based in Seoul. His work moves between photography and spoken word to explore emotion, perception, and connection. Living with CPTSD sharpens his attention to subtle, often overlooked details. Drawn into the city after dark, Lee seeks flowers as living metaphors for emotion. Through extreme close-ups and harsh direct flash, he dissolves familiar forms—edges blur, colours bleed, shapes distort. This intimacy lets the flowers hover between recognition and abstraction, their presence slipping beyond certainty. His work aims to create space for reflection, inviting viewers to feel something yet to be discovered and see themselves anew.
