Along the Demerara is an ongoing series documenting my relationship with Guyana (where my parents are from). The series looks at recurring themes – loss, the use of coconut, interactions with the Demerara River, and abandoned objects in the landscape reclaimed by nature. It’s an intimate dialogue between photographer and subject; documenting the country as an insider and an outsider of the culture.
