Scenes of trees and flowers around North London through the seasons, shot on Polaroid film.
Anasa zine takes the title from the Greek word for breath. Each breath we take acts as a small embodiment of the larger rhythms of the natural world. Everything is temporary and perpetually in motion - falling and rising, constantly moving through cycles of death and renewal, balance is found in the ever-shifting current of change.
Shot on black & white Polaroid film, a medium of soft focus, warm texture and contrast, altering a fleeting instant through chemistry: leaves and branches become abstract shapes, forming a balancing act between light & dark.
Before we know it the cycle begins again, leaves dropping to form fertile soil for the next season of growth, showing us nothing is ever lost, only transformed.
